Using Tattoo Art To Help Out Endangered Species

I use this example to illustrate (no pun intended) the benefits of using resources to benefit a good cause. A talented tattoo artist from New York has come up with a novel idea to raise money and awareness for endangered species. She is a highly reputable and award winning tattoo artist who has found a way to use this reputation and business popularity to benefit the animal world, another passion of hers.

Over one quarter of the earth's animals are presently listed as endangered. The owner of this New York Shop decided to do her part to help these animals and came up with a unique campaign. She offers a discounted rate for her work if the client is interested in getting an endangered animal tattoo. In addition, she donates 100 percent of the money to the cause.

The "Endangered Ink" Project's objective is to help in two ways:

By raising awareness and by financial assistance. As of the date of this article she has accumulated over $5000 to this great cause. The customer receives a high quality, beautiful piece of art for life and can feel good about the donation they have made to this great cause. When admired, the client can also help spread the word about the species and possibly get more clients interested in this project.

By wearing your tattoo it becomes an educational opportunity for you to alert friends, family and even strangers to a cause you feel passionate about.

Wouldn't it be great if this idea caught on? Shops and artists finding a way to raise money for their personal cause, be it animals, breast cancer, or whatever their passion. Everyone is a winner in this scenario.

I think the tattoo world should applaud this artist efforts and follow her example for their own causes.
